Rooted in memory, carried by creation.

Founded by committed artist and cultural advocate Carole Demesmin, Production BELAYITI was born from her desire to bring to life the vision of her late son, Louis-Philippe Arty, who dreamed of fostering cultural exchanges between young Haitian and Belgian artists.

Through its initiatives, Production BELAYITI works to promote the richness of Haitian culture, preserve Haiti’s national heritage, and build sociocultural connections between Haiti and the rest of the world.

Its mission is to promote, preserve, and transmit the richness of Haiti’s cultural heritage through artistic creation, education, sociocultural exchange, and the safeguarding of collective memory.

The organization seeks to build bridges between Haiti and Haitian and international communities around the world, enabling present and future generations — especially those in the diaspora — to better know, understand, and appreciate the history, traditions, values, and identity of the Haitian people.

As part of this vision, Production BELAYITI is developing a global cultural village in Haiti. This village is envisioned as a vibrant, living space dedicated to cultural transmission, education, collective memory, the arts, and the celebration of Haitian heritage.

The project aims to provide present and future generations with a place for connection, discovery, learning, and cultural transmission, where Haitian history, traditions, artistic expressions, and cultural knowledge can be preserved, experienced, and shared.

Bringing this project to life will require careful and rigorous planning, including the development of a detailed implementation plan, cost analysis, construction timeline, fundraising strategy, and long-term operating budget.

To help finance this initiative, the Economics, Finance, and Accounting Committee is developing several fundraising strategies, including the organization of a major benefit concert to raise the funds needed for the construction and development of the cultural village.

At the same time, the Education Committee is working to create literacy and educational programs that reflect the realities, culture, and needs of the Haitian people. These programs are intended to contribute to the educational and cultural development of communities while encouraging the transmission of knowledge, history, and shared values.

Through its projects, Production BELAYITI seeks to support artistic creation as a means of expression, remembrance, and cultural transmission. It also intends to provide younger generations — particularly those in the diaspora — with meaningful opportunities to reconnect with their roots, their history, and their cultural identity.

The organization ultimately aspires to build a lasting cultural legacy grounded in memory, education, creativity, and collective sharing.

The global cultural village in Haiti represents the realization of this vision: a space dedicated to the history, traditions, arts, and cultural richness of the Haitian people — a place designed to bring generations together and allow Haitian culture to shine throughout Haiti and across the world.
